Mike was born and raised in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Central Michigan University in 2003, Mike moved to Naples, FL where he taught fifth grade for three years. During that time he earned his Master’s degree in Teaching and Learning with a concentration in Brain Smart Teaching from Nova Southeastern University. Mike decided to leave the classroom to enter the insurance industry in 2007 and he hasn’t looked back. Beginning in a customer service role and then transitioning to agent and finally into management, Mike takes great pride in utilizing his educational background in his daily interactions with his clients and staff. He understands that the Florida insurance market is intricate and volatile, which is why he focuses so much on guiding his clients through challenges and into insurance products that make the most sense for their particular situations. Mike completed his CPCU designation in 2019 and his CPRIA and ANFI designations in 2022. When Mike is not at the office he enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife and children.
